Steelmaking requires vanadium additions that dissolve quickly, price sensibly, and certify cleanly — and ferro vanadium delivers on all three counts. As a steelmaking alloying agent, it introduces vanadium into the ladle or furnace as an iron-based master alloy, with no exotic handling and no special furnaces required. The resulting grain refinement and precipitation strengthening lift grade performance across the mill's full range. ZhenAn supplies the two volume grades of the ladder — FeV50 and FeV60 — for special steel production programs that need dependable vanadium units month after month.
Ordering follows a fixed rhythm. Payment registers through L/C, T/T, or Western Union and starts the dispatch clock; seven to ten working days later, a consignment leaves the Anyang works in Henan Province. Each big bag — one tonne unless the program specifies otherwise — contains lump alloy cut to the 10–50 mm window, accompanied by the lot's analysis certificate and safety data sheet. The operation behind this schedule holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and pours 2000 MT of ferrovanadium per month, which is why repeat programs do not queue behind spot volume.
Both grades are GB/T 4139-2012 table entries, and their A-series limits read almost identically apart from the vanadium window:
| Element / Parameter | FeV50-A | FeV60-A |
|---|---|---|
| Vanadium (V) | 48.0–55.0% | 58.0–65.0% |
| Carbon (C), max | 0.40% | 0.40% |
| Silicon (Si), max | 2.0% | 2.0% |
| Phosphorus (P), max | 0.06% | 0.06% |
| Sulfur (S), max | 0.04% | 0.04% |
| Aluminum (Al), max | 1.5% | 1.5% |
Iron balances each grade, and B-series variants relax the ceilings where the receiving program allows.
In the ladle, vanadium partitions into austenite grain boundaries and later precipitates as carbonitrides, so the finished plate or bar gains yield strength without a proportional loss of toughness. Mills apply this in rebar and sections, where a kilogram of vanadium replaces tonnes of extra section steel; in special steel production, the same mechanism underpins shafting, gear, and spring grades. Weldability holds up because the additions stay small, and the iron balance of the 50% and 60% grades dissolves into the bath without trace.
Work through these questions before releasing the purchase order:
Compare cost per kilogram of delivered vanadium at your target addition rate.
Yes — both sit in GB/T 4139-2012 with published limits.
Agree them in the contract; the COA then certifies against the agreed values.
Lump at 10–50 mm in 1 MT big bags; variations available on request.
7–10 working days from cleared payment.
A certificate of analysis and safety data sheet for every lot.
A complete inquiry reads like a heat plan: name the steel grades and vanadium windows, split the tonnage between FeV50 and FeV60, fix the lump fraction and packing, name the discharge port, and state any inspection or sample requirement. With those five elements, the desk can answer with a firm offer, a current COA, and a delivery date:
