Special steel depends on tightly controlled chemistry, and iron vanadium alloy is the vehicle that delivers vanadium into the melt. Whether the target is a crankshaft grade, spring steel, or a high-cleanliness structural plate, vanadium arrives as FeV and refines the grain structure while adding strength through fine carbonitride precipitation. ZhenAn casts iron vanadium alloy at its Henan works in the two grades most ordered by special steel mills: FeV50 for routine vanadium loads and FeV60 where the vanadium window sits higher and the iron balance must shrink. Metallurgical alloying budgets are built around exactly this pair.
The commercial package behind both grades is straightforward. Production runs at Anyang in Henan province under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system, with a monthly capacity of 2000 MT released as lump in the standard 10–50 mm cut. Packing is a 1 MT big bag unless the buyer specifies otherwise, dispatch takes 7–10 work days after payment clears, and L/C, T/T, or Western Union are all accepted. Every lot ships with its certificate of analysis and safety data sheet, so the melt shop receives documentation it can file against the heat record.
GB/T 4139-2012 sets the grade boundaries, read here element by element.
| Element | FeV50-A | FeV60-A |
|---|---|---|
| Vanadium | 48.0–55.0% | 58.0–65.0% |
| Carbon, max | 0.40% | 0.40% |
| Silicon, max | 2.0% | 2.0% |
| Phosphorus, max | 0.06% | 0.06% |
| Sulfur, max | 0.04% | 0.04% |
| Aluminum, max | 1.5% | 1.5% |
Iron is the balance in both grades. Where a special steel program requires different ceilings, the contract can lock agreed limits and the COA reports against them.
Special steel families that draw on these two grades include:
The 50% grade carries routine vanadium targets economically, while the 60% grade fits heats where less iron enters the bath for the same vanadium pickup.
| Point to Confirm | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Target vanadium content per steel grade | Sets the FeV50 versus FeV60 decision |
| Carbon ceiling of the receiving grade | Governs whether the A-series limits apply |
| Lump sizing for the charging practice | Protects recovery in the ladle or furnace |
| Lot documentation needs | COA and SDS come standard; extra reporting by agreement |
| Shipment volume and discharge port | Feeds the 7–10 work day dispatch plan |
| Payment instrument | L/C, T/T, or Western Union |
Vanadium content and the iron balance differ; recovery planning follows the same method for both.
Yes — agreed specifications can tighten any ceiling, and the COA reports the outcome.
Lump at 10–50 mm; other fractions are quoted on request.
7–10 work days from cleared payment.
Certificate of analysis and safety data sheet as standard.
Yes, with segregated, documented packing.
2000 MT per month across the ferrovanadium program.
A clear inquiry names the steel grades being melted, the vanadium windows they carry, the tonnage per delivery, and the discharge port. With that in hand, the desk returns a firm offer with the COA of a current lot attached.
