Melt-shop economics reward the grade that does the job at the lowest landed cost per unit of silicon. Metallic silicon 3303 — 99.37% Si with Fe and Al at 0.3% and Ca at 0.03% — is that grade for aluminum alloy production, foundry use and general metallurgical processing. It charges, dissolves and recovers predictably, and ZhenAn's Henan works pours it in the volumes a processing schedule demands.
Support starts before the ladle. The works sizes the standard 10–50 mm fraction at 90% minimum in range and packs it into 1 MT big bags (20–25 MT per 20' container) so charging is a crane cycle, not a project. Each lot is lab-cleared against the four governing elements, ISO 9001 audits the production route, and retained samples stand behind every certificate. When a processing line wants a different screen, the sizing line quotes it.
Four numbers govern the certificate:
| Silicon (Si) | Not less than 99.37% |
|---|---|
| Iron (Fe) | Not more than 0.3% |
| Aluminium (Al) | Not more than 0.3% |
| Calcium (Ca) | Not more than 0.03% |
| Physical form | Lump — 10–50 mm with at least 90% of the charge inside the band; fractions such as 10–100 mm can be quoted against a screen the parties agree. |
A processing-side order is sound when six things line up: the contract names grade 3303 with its four certified ceilings; the lump fraction matches what the charging equipment takes; big-bag packing suits the melt-shop crane; incoterm and port are fixed so landed costs compare; settlement runs through L/C, T/T or Western Union; and the per-lot COA — with optional SGS or BV inspection — closes the evidence trail.
Is 3303 the right grade for wrought aluminum alloys?
Commercial Al-Si programs run on it; verify your spec's trace limits against the certified ceilings.
How does the 10–50 mm cut perform in induction furnaces?
It dissolves steadily and charges without bridging — the standard foundry choice.
Can screens outside 10–50 mm be supplied?
Yes, including 10–100 mm; state the fraction and tolerance.
What happens if a lot misses a ceiling at our lab?
The works' retained samples go to referee testing and the contract settles from there.
Are quarterly volume agreements available?
Rolling frameworks with fixed dispatch slots are quotable.
What lead time should planning assume?
5–10 working days from cleared payment.
