ZhenAn supplies metallurgical-grade silicon metal powder in two classified sieve cuts — 200 mesh and 325 mesh — engineered as the starting feedstock for organic silicone synthesis and broader silicon-based chemical processing. Each lot is milled on a closed circuit and released with a certificate of analysis covering silicon content, Fe/Al/Ca impurities and sieve residue.
Silicon metal powder is elemental silicon, ground and classified from metallurgical-grade lumps. In organic silicone production it serves as the starting feedstock: the powder reacts with methyl chloride over a catalyst to form chlorosilane monomers — the building block of nearly every silicone oil, rubber and resin on the market. ZhenAn supplies this chemistry in two sieve cuts, 200 mesh and 325 mesh, so each plant can match powder fineness to its reactor design, fluidization quality and conversion targets.
| Manufacturer | ZhenAn |
|---|---|
| Works location | Anyang, Henan, China |
| Quality system | ISO 9001 |
| Available cuts | 200 mesh / 325 mesh powder |
| Base material | Metallurgical-grade silicon lumps |
Milling runs on a closed circuit: lumps are crushed, ball-milled, then air-classified to the ordered cut. Every batch leaves with a certificate of analysis covering Si content, Fe/Al/Ca impurities and sieve residue.
| Cut | Approx. opening | Character |
|---|---|---|
| 200 mesh | ≈75 μm | Medium-fine, free flowing, low dusting |
| 325 mesh | ≈45 μm | Fine, higher surface area, faster conversion |
Chemistry follows the silicon metal grade table published on this site. Grade 441 (Si 99.1%, Fe ≤0.4%, Al ≤0.4%, Ca ≤0.1%) and grade 3303 (Si 99.37%, Fe ≤0.3%, Al ≤0.3%, Ca ≤0.03%) are the usual picks for silicone duty.
| Point to settle | Standard arrangement |
|---|---|
| Grade selection | 441 or 3303 against monomer yield targets |
| Sieve cut | 200 mesh or 325 mesh with agreed sieve residue |
| Packing | 25 kg lined bags; 1 MT jumbo bags |
| Price basis | FOB, CFR or CIF per lot |
| Dispatch | 5–10 working days after funds land |
| Assurance | Batch COA; third-party inspection on request |
Finer 325 mesh exposes more surface per gram, which supports conversion; confirm against your reactor design.
Grade 441 is the common workhorse; 3303 is chosen when tighter impurity ceilings pay for themselves.
25 kg bags with an inner liner, or 1 MT jumbo bags.
A batch COA listing Si, Fe, Al, Ca and sieve residue.
Yes — send the pass rate or PSD limits and the mill works to them.
5–10 working days from cleared payment.
Quote requests move fastest when four details ride along: the grade (441 or 3303), the mesh cut, the monthly tonnage and the destination port. Add a preferred packing and the desk returns a firm offer on the current price basis. Sample kits for laboratory evaluation can be arranged alongside commercial volumes.
