Ferrosilicon is not only a steel shop consumable — it is a feedstock. Plants making FeSiMg nodulizers, low-carbon ferroalloys, or magnesium via the Pidgeon route all start from the same material the ladle burns: FeSi 72 and FeSi 75. That is why ZHENAN runs the two grades as separate, tightly documented streams for three audiences at once. Steel shops take them for deoxidation; foundries for inoculation and silicon addition; alloy manufacturers trust them as a silicon feed with stable lot-to-lot chemistry, because a blending calculation is only as good as the consistency behind it. Aluminium is controlled per grade — ≤2.0% on the 72, ≤1.5% on the 75 (low-Al line ≤0.5%) — and every batch is analysed before release, so whether the lot heads to a ladle, a foundry or a nodulizer blend, the certificate matches the material exactly.
FeSi 72 ships at Si ≥72% with Al ≤2.0%, C ≤0.2%, P ≤0.04% and S ≤0.02%. FeSi 75 tightens the silicon floor to ≥75% and the aluminium cap to ≤1.5% while holding the same C, P and S ceilings. For blending calculations, the lot values below are the numbers to use — documented, stable, never blended.
| Grade | Si | Al | C | P | S |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FeSi 72 | ≥72% | ≤2.0% | ≤0.2% | ≤0.04% | ≤0.02% |
| FeSi 75 | ≥75% | ≤1.5% | ≤0.2% | ≤0.04% | ≤0.02% |
| FeSi 75 (low-Al) | ≥75% | ≤0.5% | ≤0.2% | ≤0.04% | ≤0.02% |
Before the contract is signed, four things get settled with us:
FeSiMg and pre-alloy recipes assume a stable silicon credit from the feedstock; our per-batch analysis keeps that assumption documented and valid.
FeSi 75 is the conventional reductant; we confirm size and specification against your retort practice before quoting.
Yes — grades, forms and sizes are entered line by line and shipped as one documented consignment.
Silicon (≥72 vs ≥75%) and aluminium (≤2.0 vs ≤1.5%) separate them; C, P and S ceilings are shared. A ≤0.5% low-Al 75 is available.
Rolling monthly programs within the 2,000 MT capacity are standard; the commercial structure is negotiable.
Mill test report and certificate of analysis per batch and grade, plus sample approval and final inspection records.
Yes — mixed-form, mixed-grade orders are packed and documented separately by line.
