Molybdenum-lanthanum alloy is an alloy composed of base metal molybdenum and lanthanum trioxide existing as dispersed particles in the matrix. The La2O3 content in the alloy is generally 0.5%~5.0% (mass fraction).

Molybdenum-lanthanum alloy, also known as high-temperature molybdenum, brand name MoLa, is made of molybdenum doped with a small amount of lanthanum trioxide (La2O3) particles to form a so-called superimposed fiber structure. This special microstructure remains stable at temperatures up to 2000°C. Therefore, molybdenum-lanthanum oxide is creep-resistant even under service conditions. We process these molybdenum alloys primarily into high-temperature furnace components such as vacuum furnace heat shields, sintering and annealing boats, strands or evaporator coils.​
