Molybdenum-lanthanum alloy is an alloy composed of base metal molybdenum and lanthanum trioxide existing as dispersed particles in the matrix. The La2O3 content in the alloy is generally 0.5%~5.0% (mass fraction).

Preparation of molybdenum-lanthanum alloy blanks

Using the liquid-solid mixing method, lanthanum oxide is doped into molybdenum powder in the form of La(NO3)3 alcohol solution. The addition amount is about 1%. The molybdenum powder is pretreated at 700~900°C for 2 hours in a hydrogen atmosphere. After isostatic pressing, it is sintered at high temperature to form a molybdenum-lanthanum alloy billet with a relative theoretical density of 92% to 96%.

Rolling and heat treatment of molybdenum-lanthanum alloy plates

After the molybdenum-lanthanum alloy billet is opened at 1500°C, it is warm-rolled and cold-rolled to a 2.4 mm thick plate. The pass processing rate is 25%~35%, and the total processing rate is 80%. The rolled molybdenum lanthanum plates were annealed in hydrogen furnaces at 1100, 1250, 1400, 1550 and 1950°C.
