TZM Alloy Production Process powder metallurgy method
The powder metallurgy method is to fully mix high-purity molybdenum powder, TiH2 powder, ZrH2 powder and graphite powder, and then perform cold isostatic pressing. After pressing, it is sintered at high temperature under the protection of protective gas to obtain a TZM blank. The blank is subjected to hot rolling (hot forging), high temperature annealing, medium temperature rolling (medium temperature forging), medium temperature annealing to eliminate stress, and warm rolling (warm forging) to obtain TZM alloy (titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy). The rolling (forging) process and subsequent heat treatment play an important role in the properties of the alloy.
The main production process is: mixing → ball milling → cold isostatic pressing → hydrogen or other protective gas → high temperature sintering → TZM blank → hot rolling → high temperature annealing → medium temperature rolling → medium temperature annealing to eliminate stress. Stress→warm rolling→TZM alloy.
