Microsilica powder mixed into cement concrete can fill the void of cement particles well, making the cement slurry more dense. In addition, it also combines with free Ca(OH) to form stable calcium silicate hydrate 2cao.SiO2.H2O. The gel strength of this hydrate is higher than that of Ca(OH) crystal, which is mainly shown as:
(1) Increase strength. The compressive strength and bending strength of concrete are greatly improved. The addition of 5-10% silicon powder can increase the compressive strength by 10-30% and the bending strength by more than 10%.
(2) Increase density. The impermeability is increased by 5-18 times, and the chemical resistance is increased by more than 4 times.
(3) Frost resistance: after rapid thawing for 300-500 cycles, the relative elastic modulus of silica fume rises and falls by 10-20%, while that of ordinary concrete rises and falls by 30-73% after 25-50 cycles.
(4) Early strength: the induction period of micro-silica concrete is shortened and it has the characteristics of early strength.
(5) Resistance to abrasion and corrosion control: high purity silica powder manufacturers believe that compared with ordinary concrete, the anti-abrasion ability of micro-silica powder concrete is increased by 0.5-2.5 times, and the anti-cavitation ability is increased by 3-16 times.
