Molybdenum is mainly used as an additive for steel. Adding molybdenum to steel can make steel have uniform microcrystalline structure, reduce eutectoid decomposition temperature, expand heat treatment temperature range and hardening depth, and improve its hardness, toughness and creep resistance. Ferro molybdenum is widely used as an additive in the iron and steel industry, but the price of ferro molybdenum is relatively expensive, with 60Mo priced at 254,000 yuan/ton. With the sharp decline of steel market prices, it is particularly important to improve molybdenum yield and reduce costs when smelting steel.
At present, in the smelting process of molybdenum steel, ferro molybdenum is added to the converter with scrap steel in scrap bucket. In the process of converter blowing, the yield of ferro molybdenum is relatively low, only 80%-85%, which greatly increases the smelting cost, and there is no special method to improve the yield of ferro molybdenum in the smelting process.
The invention relates to an iron and steel smelting method of reducing production cost and improving the yield of ferro molybdenum. The feeding way of ferro molybdenum is changed from converter feeding to high bin feeding when steel is produced, which solves the problem of low yield of molybdenum when smelting steel containing molybdenum, and how to improve the yield of molybdenum, stabilize the process control and reduce the cost when smelting fine steel so as to meet the production requirements.
