High carbon silicon, also known as silicon carbon alloy, is a new type of alloy used in converter. It can replace ferrosilicon, silicon carbide and carburizing agent, reduce the amount of deoxidizing agent, used in the converter smelting process of deoxidizing alloying. The effect is stable. The chemical composition, mechanical properties and internal control quality of steel are superior to the traditional process.
High-carbon silicon, also known as silicon-carbon alloy, is a by-product of silicon metal. Since the temperature near the bottom and wall of the furnace during the production of silicon metal cannot reach the original standard temperature of completely melting silicon metal, more and more silicon metal which cannot be fully chemically reacted is stuck to the bottom and wall of the furnace, resulting in high carbon silicon.
